Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World is a Yoshi platforming game for the Nintendo 3DS.It is a port of Yoshi's Woolly World, which was released for the Wii U in 2015. The game includes the entirety of the original game's levels, along with a bonus mode called Poochy Dash in which the player controls Poochy and tries to collect as many Beads as possible.

Different Yarn Yoshi patterns appear depending on the region of the system the game is being played on. Since the Japanese Famicom/Super Famicom design drastically differ from the North American NES/SNES consoles, these differences are reflected in the design of their respective Yoshi patterns. Since the pattern takes the same place in the menu selection, they are not obtainable separately outside of their respective regions. Even if you buy the specially released 'R.O.B Famicom' edition from the US or Europe, the pattern is a completely different design to that of its regional counterpart, lacking buttons on Yoshi's hand, having black eyelids, and also fills up a different slot in the game.
