Going off of a few other threads it would be for the best to have a discussion on the way the categories are managed at the moment.

4.7 out of 5 stars 32 ratings. Finding all the flowers, coins, and Poochy Pups is no small feat! Mellow mode gives Yoshi wings for a breezier experience, which may come in handy! I enjoyed Yoshis Woolly World for the 3DS and found it challenging, but this feels like it’s made for 4 year olds.

Currently there are 5 'main' categories:

Any% Classic (completing the main game without mellow mode);
Any% Classic No Badges (As above but without badges);
Any% (Gem grinding basically, but the quickest way to complete the game with mellow mode);
100% (Currently collecting All Flowers, Yarn and stamp gems in all levels);
and another added recently of All Levels (completing all levels including S levels but not requiring all collectibles)

4.7 out of 5 stars 112. Nintendo Switch. And the ending is not the end you can unlock the hidden hills but you will need a lot of flowers 140 total. Beautiful graphics. Very funny and perfect to play with my kids. We had played Yoshi Woolly World a lot on the Wii U so we were looking forward to this one and so far it didn't. Now this is where I'd like to bring a discussion in to things so as to have a clear and more organised board with all the categories that people want. Personally one thing that has a bit of a sticking point in my book but I want to see what others think is the definition of 100%. Now, at the times when initial categories were made no one really had an interest in 100% due to perceived length and this led to no real care being put in to defining it, which should have been the case. The current definition for it doesn't include heart collection and therefore not requiring star rank on each level, and I'd been having a discussion about it with another runner, Torco, that this should be part of it, but we never came to a decision and also felt we had no authority without a wider discussion. However without even realising I had I changed it (which is bad to admit and I apologise) and it was a good thing marcomania pointed it out so it could be reverted. However, I am of the opinion this should be changed to require star ranks for 100%. To make the current 100% run relevant and I also think would be a good way to do it would be to have the current 100% be 100% No Star Ranks and a new category for 100% All Star Ranks.

There I think should possibly also be a drop down added like the multiple controller one to specify whether badges were used or not or whether you did it alone or with another person (though I would be more inclined to keep Co-op categories with multiple people there own thing), and this would cut down on the number of categories while still allowing current categories to be ran. But an open discussion to make things clear on how they should be done would likely be best. Comment here, then how things go forward can happen based on what is said.

Yoshi Branches Out is the seventh level of World 4 in Yoshi's Woolly World.

  • 2Collectibles

Layout[edit]

The level starts with a single circle platform that moves in the direction of its arrow if Yoshi stands on it. After crossing a Piranha Plant, there is an edible wall that Yoshi can eat, leading to a series of moving arrow circles that Yoshi can use to climb up the level. There is then a door next to a Fly Guy, that leads to another area with Nipper Plants and Nipper Spores. After that is an edible wall leading to the first checkpoint, followed by a series of springs with more Fly Guys. This leads to a brown warp pipe, which in turn leads to a vertical area with more Fly Guys. After that is a door leading to the second checkpoint. More moving arrow circles appear, along with even more Fly Guys and Piranha Plants and a few waterfalls. After a few waterfalls, the goal roulette appears.

Collectibles[edit]

Smiley Flowers[edit]

  • Smiley Flower 1: When eating the first edible wall, Yoshi must fall down and to the left to another edible wall. Eating it reveals a path to the Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower 2: Just before the end of the Nipper Spore area, in a hidden alcove near an edible wall. Yoshi must use a moving arrow circle to get it.
  • Smiley Flower 3: There is a hidden Winged Cloud under a spring after the first checkpoint (marked by three beads) that unveils a moving arrow circle. Yoshi must ride it upwards to find the Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower 4: Using a moving arrow platform, there is an obscured door just before the door leading to the second checkpoint that Yoshi can enter. Inside the secret room, Yoshi must collect all beads to unveil the Smiley Flower.
  • Smiley Flower 5: Just below a waterfall. Yoshi must carefully use a moving arrow circle to reach it.

Wonder Wools[edit]

  • Wonder Wool 1: At the top left corner at the start of the level. Yoshi must use the moving arrow circle to collect it.
  • Wonder Wool 2: Just before reaching the first Fly Guy, Yoshi must ride a moving arrow circle to the left side to an area with the Wonder Wool.
  • Wonder Wool 3: In a hidden Winged Cloud in the area with Nipper Spores.
  • Wonder Wool 4: In the vertical area with Fly Guys, over in a visible alcove over to the right.
  • Wonder Wool 5: Just above a group of two Fly Guys after the second checkpoint.
Leopard Yoshi

Collecting all of the Wonder Wools knits Leopard Yoshi back together.
